Aurora License Office up for bid

Posted online
The Missouri Office of Administration is accepting bids until Sept. 27 for groups or individuals interested in managing the Aurora License Office.

The office issued a request for proposal Aug. 26, according to a news release from the Missouri Department of Revenue.

Bids will be evaluated by a review team at the department, which will award the contract to the proposal that best addresses factors such as customer service, business experience and other criteria, according to Department of Revenue Director Alana Barragán-Scott.

In fiscal 2010, the Aurora office, under management by its current agent Denise Blauvelt, generated $85,982 in agent processing fees through 25,155 transactions. Blauvelt will stay on until a new agent is chosen.

Local license offices manage several transactions, including renewing or applying for drivers' licenses, and renewing or applying for registration on vehicles.

The Aurora License Office is located at 316 E. Church St., but the winning bidder is not required to keep that location, the release said.

Interested bidders can visit Moolb.mo.gov for more information.
