Pennsylvania-based Internet Technology Partnerships Inc. has consented to a preliminary injunction prohibiting the company from calling Missourians on the state's no-call list.
Attorney General Chris Koster's office filed suit in August against the telemarketer, alleging the company and its owner, Jesse Levine, violated Telemarketing No-Call List Act when soliciting consumers who had used the drug Avandia and suffered side effects, according to a news release.
“Missouri's No-Call law is clear, and businesses should understand that we will stop them if they ignore the law,” Koster said in the release. “The attorney general's office will continue to aggressively pursue telemarketers who ignore our laws and continue to make prohibited calls.”
The preliminary injunction only prohibits the calls; a ruling regarding the company's liability has not yet been made.[[In-content Ad]]
