Sapp Design Associates Architects PC is the architect for phases I and II of additions at the junior and senior high schools in Nixa for Nixa Public Schools. Engineers are Toth and Associates Inc., structural; Colvin Jones Davis LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing; and Shaffer & Hines Inc., civil. Interior Planning Consultants Inc. is the interior designer for the project, which has an estimated cost of $16 million. Phase I at the junior high school is a 23,800-square-foot classroom wing addition, and phase II is a 35,000-square-foot administration commons and Federal Emergency Management Agency shelter/gym addition. At the high school, Phase I is a 21,500-square-foot classroom addition, a 5,000-square-foot football field house and locker room and field turf, and Phase II is a 14,000-square-foot wrestling and weight room/FEMA safe room addition. Phase I work at both schools is slated for completion in 2013, and Phase II is 2015.
