Dake Wells Architecture is the architect for Spokane R-VII School District’s additions and renovations. Engineers are Meridian Structural Works Inc., structural; Olsson Associates Inc., civil; and Great River Engineering of Springfield Inc., civil. JE Dunn Construction Co. is the construction manager for the roughly $5 million project, funded by bonds underwritten by Crews & Associates. The project adds space for both the middle and high schools, and corridors separate younger students from older students. Architects addressed a problem for students who must use a heavily traveled county road that splits the campus by adding an elevated bridge connecting both schools. Also included is a multi-use auditorium and secure entrances. Completion is slated for summer 2012.[[In-content Ad]]
