Dake Wells Architecture is the architect for new administrative space for Assembly of God, World Missions-Africa. The project entails renovating a former warehouse into a facility with 6,300 square feet of administrative offices, training rooms and warehouse space. Meridian Structural Works is the structural engineer, and Olsson Associates Inc. is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer. The uninsulated building shell will have a variegated, earth-toned steel skin inspired by traditional African tribal art. The skin will provide necessary insulation and moisture protection for the facility and act as a visual screen for energy-efficient rooftop mechanical units. The project, with an estimated cost of $500,000, is scheduled for completion in fall 2012.
