Posted online

Baltimore-based Whiting Turner Contracting Co. is the general contractor for the conservation education center and exhibition hall for the American National Fish and Wildlife Museum, Wonders of Wildlife. St. Louis-based Peckham, Guyton, Albers & Viets Inc. is the architect, and the engineers are Heithaus Engineering & Associates Inc., civil; Houston, Texas-based Walter P. Moore & Associates Inc., structural; and Maitland, Fla.-based X-nth Inc., mechanical, electrical and plumbing. The 55,000-square-foot project has an estimated cost of $10 million and is one of four phases planned for a $25 million expansion and renovation. The education center will house conservation programs, such as Springfield Public Schools’ Wonders of the Ozarks Learning Facility, and the exhibition hall will be used for events and shows. The project is slated for completion by the end of the year. A later phase includes an entry and lobby that will connect to Bass Pro Shops.[[In-content Ad]]
