Springfield trucking company Wilson Logistics Inc. purchased a division of Danish transport firm DSV A/S.
The acquisition of the shares of Market Transport Ltd. and Market Logistics Services Ltd., dba Market Transport, closed May 31 for undisclosed terms. The seller was DVS subsidiary Market Industries LLC, according to a news release.
“We are thrilled to have added the capabilities, customers, drivers and all employees of Market Transport to the Wilson family,” Wilson Logistics founder and CEO Darrel Wilson said in the release. “We look forward to expanding our logistics network and further increasing our route density for the benefit of all those we serve.”
With a fleet of more than 1,000 trucks, Wilson Logistics posted 2018 revenue of $171.5 million, representing three-year growth of 64%. The 735-employee company ranked No. 4 in its debut on Springfield Business Journal’s recently published annual Dynamic Dozen fast-growth list.
