UMSL gets $6M to help fight opioid epidemic

The University of Missouri-St. Louis Addiction Science Team is receiving $6 million to help fight the state's opioid epidemic.

The funding specifically will focus on expanding statewide training and distribution of opioid overdose reversal medication.

The state money came from opioid pharmaceutical settlements.
