In a six-page letter issued to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, President Doanld Trump called the impeachment proceedings "an unprecedented and unconstitutional abuse of power" that have been "unequaled in nearly two and a half centuries of American legislative history."
"You are declaring war on American Democracy," Trump wrote, also saying the proceedings are a "partisan impeachment crusade."
The House today is expected to approve two articles of impeachment against the president.
