Project description: Herschend Family Entertainment Corp. is bringing a new attraction next summer to Silver Dollar City. Mystic River Falls replaces the demolished Lost River of the Ozarks. The nearly half-mile-long ride features a 45-foot drop, reputedly the tallest raft ride drop in the Western Hemisphere, SDC President Brad Thomas said. The setting will feature natural rock and plant landscaping throughout. Herschend Family Entertainment is the project architect, with Ride Engineers Switzerland (Altendorf, Switzerland) leading the engineering work for the ride. Additional engineering work is provided by Barr Engineering Co. (Minneapolis) and J&M Engineering LLC, structural; and Interpres Building Solutions LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
