Summer 2019 Architects & Engineers Project Report: Whitlock Engineering LLC

Whitlock Engineering LLC is providing civil and landscape engineering work for Greenway Capital LLC’s Northgate Apartments, a 40,000-square-foot, three-story apartment building with 74 studio and one-bedroom units. Plans call for two buildings, connected by an outdoor living space and covered walkway, and the property also will feature a dog park. The complex is located in a 46-acre redevelopment area declared as blighted by Springfield City Council. The Lamar Johnson Collaborative LLC, formerly BatesForum LLC, is the project architect, and Larry Snyder and Co. is the general contractor. Additional engineering work is by Wells & Scaletty LLC, structural, and True Engineering Group LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. The project is slated for completion by September.
