Miller Engineering office
3827 S. Timbercreek Ave.
Miller Engineering PC is structural engineer for its new 8,700-square-foot, two-story office in southwest Springfield. Plans situate the building into the sloping grade of the site, and it’s structured by an interior Vierendeel truss, invoking the design of old bridge structures. Officials say the office building features private and open offices, a workroom, conference rooms, break room, fitness area, testing lab and outdoor spaces. Buxton Kubik Dodd Design Collective is project architect, and BP Builders LLC is general contractor. Additional engineering work is by Anderson Engineering Inc., civil; and Jennifer Winslow PE LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. The project is slated for completion by May 2020.
