Mercy Pediatric Emergency Department renovation and expansion

The Lamar Johnson Collaborative LLC is the architect for a 5,700-square-foot renovation and 6,300-square-foot expansion to Mercy’s Pediatric Emergency Department. The project features a canopy and entrance to connect a reception, lobby and private pediatric sensory room, design officials said, along with 11 new exam rooms with triage and staff support areas. McCarthy Building Cos. Inc. is the general contractor on the $7.5 million project that is expected to be completed by spring 2021. Project engineers are Olsson Inc., civil and landscape; Imeg Corp. (Illinois), structural; and Heideman & Associates Inc. (Fenton), mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
A safe room and classroom addition at Willard Central Elementary School will be used by the music, arts and athletic programs for a district that had 4,536 students last year, according to Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education figures, but school officials say enrollment is projected to grow.
