Springfield's second Crumbl Cookies store is slated to open next week, the company announced.
Franchisees Amy and Steve Wallace are planning a May 24 grand opening at 1979 E. Independence St. in the James River Towne Center, according to a news release. The first Springfield store of Crumbl Cookies, a Utah-based gourmet cookie chain, opened in March at 2415 N. Glenstone Ave. through Curtis Industries LLC, a separate franchisee.
"Driven by passion and a craving for adventure, Amy and Steve made a life-changing decision. They sold their dream home, bid farewell to their beloved food truck business and embarked on a journey of over 1,000 miles from Utah to Missouri, all in pursuit of their own Crumbl store," company officials said in the release, noting the Wallaces now live in the Kansas City suburb of Liberty.
Crumbl Cookies has more than 1,000 stores in all 50 states, as well as Canada and Puerto Rico. It has a rotating menu of cookies, with around 250 flavors.
A franchise store of a Branson West-based quilting business made its Queen City debut; Grateful Vase launched in Lebanon; and Branson entertainment venue The Social Birdy had its grand opening.
