Ahead of its delayed opening date, Big Cedar Lodge and Tiger Woods’ TGR Design are hosting a sneak peek of Payne’s Valley through year’s end.
Located at Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, Payne’s Valley is a 19-hole course slated to open in 2020. Preview play started Nov. 8 and is scheduled to continue through Dec. 31, according to a news release.
An exact opening date has not been set for Payne’s Valley, which originally was targeted to launch this year.
Preview play includes access to the course’s first 10 holes, according to the release. Among its highlights, the 19th hole called The Rock has a geological feature where players walk through a cavern system to return to the clubhouse.
Announced in spring 2017, the course is named in honor of Springfield native and golfing legend Payne Stewart.
A franchise store of a Branson West-based quilting business made its Queen City debut; Grateful Vase launched in Lebanon; and Branson entertainment venue The Social Birdy had its grand opening.
