Pay rises for all top execs at Leggett & Platt

Total compensation for Leggett & Platt Inc.’s (NYSE: LEG) top five executives rose in 2018.

The highest-paid officer was President and CEO Karl Glassman, whose compensation increased to $10.6 million last year from $7 million in 2017, according to the company’s annual proxy filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company’s top executive officers, by 2018 compensation, are:
• Glassman, $10.6 million, up nearly 51 percent;
• Matthew Flanigan, chief financial officer, $3.5 million, up 33 percent;
• Perry Davis, executive vice president and president of residential and industrial products, $3.04 million, up 57 percent;
• Mitchell Dolloff, chief operating officer, $3 million, up 48 percent; and
• Scott Douglas, general counsel, $1.6 million, up 47 percent.

During 2018, the Carthage-based manufacturer of engineered components and products for homes, offices and vehicles posted a 4.5 percent increase in profits to $305.9 million.

LEG shares were trading at $41.79 as of 9:01 a.m., compared with a 52-week range of $33.48 to $46.71.
