Gov. Mike Parson has filled two recently vacated local judgeships.
Matthew Hamner, of Osage Beach, has been appointed to the Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District, in Springfield, and Philip Fuhrman, of Springfield, has been named associate circuit judge for the Greene County Circuit Court, according to a news release from Parson's office.
Hamner has been tapped to succeed Ginger Gooch, who was chosen by Parson last year for a seat on the Missouri Supreme Court. Fuhrman is taking over for Nathan Taylor, who was elevated to circuit judge late last year.
Hamner is currently circuit judge for the 26th Judicial Circuit that serves Camden, Laclede, Miller, Moniteau and Morgan counties.
Fuhrman is an assistant prosecuting attorney in Greene County, according to the release.
