The Ozark School District Board of Education is promoting from within for a newly created executive role.

School district principal Phillip Link on July 1 is slated to become executive director of human resources, according to a news release. The job's duties, which include all HR functions and serving as the district’s Title IX compliance officer, currently are shared among other positions in the district.

"Dr. Link brings with him a profound passion and unwavering commitment to both his staff and students," Superintendent Lori Wilson said in the release. "We are confident that his dedication will serve as a guiding light, reflecting across our entire school district and community, fostering an environment of excellence and growth."

Link has spent his entire education career at Ozark Junior High School, currently as principal.

“I’m loyal to the Ozark community and invested in growing and retaining our talent,” he said in the release. "I’m committed to supporting our team as we find and keep the right talent while building relationships and maintaining trust with all stakeholders and fostering a culture of shared respect.”

The starting salary for the executive director of human resources role is $96,000, but pay varies based on years of experience, said district spokesperson Jordan Meier.
