Netflix to open NYC production hub

Posted online

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Thursday Netflix is bringing “up to $100 million in investments” to New York City.

The streaming video company intends to open a production hub that would utilize some 100,000 square feet in the city’s Flatiron District.

The hub will support 127 jobs in content acquisition, development, legal and other areas.

"Netflix is innovative, creative and bold - just like New Yorkers - and the expansion of this cutting-edge company in New York once again demonstrates the Empire State is open for business," Cuomo said in a statement.
