South-side development Farmers Park signed a new office tenant.
Law firm Neale & Newman LLP announced plans to move late this year or early next year to 2144 E. Republic Road, Bldg. F, according to a news release. The building also is home to Guaranty Federal Bancshares Inc.’s (Nasdaq: GFED) corporate headquarters.
“This move marks only our fourth Springfield location in nearly 100 years,” Neale & Newman partner Patrick Platter said in the release. “Now, though, is the right time for us to take this opportunity to work in a growing mixed-use neighborhood that serves not only Springfield but also the Ozarks.”
Neale & Newman signed on for 12,000 square feet. Lease terms were not disclosed in the release, though a LoopNet.com listing shows a rate of $17 per square foot in the building.
Founded in Greenfield in 1903, Neale & Newman has worked out of the American National Center, 1949 E. Sunshine St., for more than 38 years.
At Farmers Park, Neale & Newman will join tenants including fellow law firm Spencer Fane LLP. Loehr Chiropractic and Acupuncture LLC last week announced it would take over 12,000 square feet of space vacated by a handful of retailers.
