Monett-based window manufacturer Window Technology Inc., which does business as WinTech, has conducted an acquisition of an Arkansas company.

WinTech closed May 9 on the purchase of 100% of the stock of Pocahontas Aluminum Co., according to a news release. Chesney Beck, vice president of sales and marketing for WinTech, said the financial terms of the deal are undisclosed.

"This acquisition represents an exciting opportunity to combine the strengths and expertise of two great companies, driving greater value for our customers and employee-owners," WinTech President Jack Williams said in the release. "Together, we will leverage our collective resources and capabilities to improve customer solutions and enhance our competitive position in the market."

Beck said Pocahontas Aluminum's 87 employees add to its head count of around 195 employees.

Pocahontas Aluminum, based in the Arkansas city of Pocahontas, will continue to operate under its brand name, according to the release. The company, which manufactures windows and doors, also will maintain operations in Arkansas.

WinTech, founded in 1991, operates at 201 Industrial Drive in Monett, according to its website. The company was sold to its employees in 2006.
