Legacy Bank expanding outside Missouri

Posted online

Springfield-based Legacy Bank & Trust is expanding outside of the Show-Me State for the first time.

The company is planning an early February launch for a loan production office in Tulsa, Oklahoma, according to a news release. A full-service location also is planned in the market, pending regulatory approval.

Legacy Bank hired Nick Wofford as market president for the Tulsa region. He most recently worked a year and a half as senior vice president in commercial lending for Triad Bank in Tulsa, and before that, 10 years with Firstar Bank, according to his LinkedIn profile.

"Nick is a great lender, with a solid reputation in the market, but what we are most excited about is his fit with the vision of our organization," said Brett Magers, president of Legacy Bank, in the release. "We are an employee-centric company, built on trust that values long-term relationships with our customers and fellow employees. I believe that he sees the world though a similar lens."

The loan production office, at 8211 S. Regal Place, Ste. 106, in Tulsa, is slated to open during the first week of February.

Last month, Legacy Bank holding company Ozarks Heritage Financial Group Inc. was selected to receive $81.7 million from the U.S. Treasury Department's Emergency Capital Investment Program. The program is designed to support disadvantaged businesses and communities.

The company last year opened its new corporate headquarters, an $8 million, 40,000-square-foot building at 3250 E. Sunshine St.
