A new president has been named for a 20-year-old banking company in Lebanon.

Heritage Bank of the Ozarks announced the promotion in a news release of Lance Boyer to president.

Company leader Kim Light, who remains CEO, is transitioning the president's role to Boyer. The latter banker will continue to serve as chief financial officer in addition to president, for which he'll oversee the day-to-day operations of the company.

"We are honored to usher Lance into the role of president of Heritage Bank of the Ozarks," said Steve Ehrhardt, board chair, in the release. "He has been an invaluable asset to our organization for the last four years, consistently demonstrating financial leadership and a deep understanding of community banking."

Boyer's financial industry career started at the Federal Reserve Bank in Kansas City, and he previously worked for 14 years at Central Bank of Lebanon.

Heritage Bank of the Ozarks, founded in 2003, operates a branch apiece in Lebanon, Camdenton and Plato, according to its website.

As of Dec. 31, Heritage Bank had nearly $316 million in assets, according to the company's profile with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
