Iran on Friday denied Western allegations that one of its own missiles caused a Ukrainian jetliner to crash outside Tehran.
Iranian officials called on the U.S. and Canada to release any evidence they have on the crash that killed 176 people.
“The evidence indicates that the plane was shot down by an Iranian surface-to-air missile,” Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said.
At least 63 Canadian citizens were killed in the crash.
