The all-cash deal is expected to close by year's end. Financial terms were undisclosed.

New Belgium currently has an employee stock ownership plan. Over 300 of its employees will receive "$100,000 of retirement money, with some receiving significantly greater amounts," co-founder Kim Jordan said in an open letter.

New Belgium is known for its Fat Tire beer, among other selections.
