House passes bill to hike federal minimum wage

The House of Representatives yesterday passed a bill to hike the federal minimum wage to $15 per hour.

The measure calls on a gradual increase by 2025 from its current level of $7.25 per hour.

CNBC reports the bill has little chance of passing through the Republican-led Senate.
