Description: The Republic School District is on track to open its Intermediate School for fifth- and sixth-grade students for the 2025-26 academic year. With design accents of Tiger orange, the campus is focused on the district’s goals of supporting collaboration in education as well as long-term community growth, according to H Design Group project officials. Upon completion, the building will have a capacity of 1,200 students. It will include a large media center, outdoor classrooms, a high-wind shelter and flex spaces throughout, and the design will make use of natural lighting while emphasizing security, officials say. Additionally, a large multipurpose commons area will provide opportunities for the district to host community events.
