Former Creative Ink building sells

Posted online
The former home of Creative Ink Architects LLC, 4064 S. Lone Pine Ave. in Galloway Village, was purchased March 4 by Neil and Christina Chanter, according to an Xceligent real estate newsletter.

The building became vacant in September after Buxton-Kubik-Dodd Inc. purchased Creative Ink. That business, now known as Buxton Kubik Dodd Creative, is located at 1531 E. Bradford Parkway, Ste. 320, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.

The building had been for sale for about a year at the time of the merger.

Christina Chanter, a stay-at-home mom and former St. John's physical therapist, said she and her husband Neil Chanter, an attorney with Strong, Garner & Bauer PC, formed LowerDeck94 LLC to purchase the property.

Wilhoit Properties had the 4,400-square-foot property listed for $499,000, and although Christina Chanter preferred not to disclose the purchase price, she said it was less than the asking price.

"We bought it to lease," she said, noting the purchase would not affect Neil Chanter's position at the law firm. "It was a good buy."

Christina Chanter said LowerDeck94 is currently looking for possible tenants to occupy the space but doesn't currently have any leads.

"We thought it was a good investment for future growth in the area," she said.[[In-content Ad]]
