SRC Holdings Corp. CEO Jack Stack has been appointed as interim dean of the Drury University Breech School of Business Administration.
Stack's planned six-month term as interim dean is scheduled to start on Jan. 1, according to a news release. The school's goal is to identify a permanent dean who would begin in fall 2024.
“This is an opportunity for us to better understand the relationship between learning, decision-making and outcomes,” Stack said in the release. “We are always looking for the possibilities of finding learning opportunities in uncertain environments. We believe there is a treasure chest of these opportunities in Drury, and we want to learn more about them.”
Stack, who will continue to lead SRC, intends to work with former Breech School of Business Administration dean Jeff Zimmerman. The release indicates Zimmerman has chosen to focus on teaching and assisting with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business reaccreditation process.
A Drury Board of Trustees member from 2004-13, Stack currently is serving on its search committee for the next school president. John Beuerlein has been interim president since the resignation earlier this year of Tim Cloyd.
“Drury and the Breech School of Business has had a 150-year commitment of service to Springfield and the greater Ozarks region,” Beuerlein said in the release. “Jack Stack will challenge us to think more strategically about the many opportunities we have to prepare our students to expand our community impact."
