The CoxHealth Board of Directors has installed Ozarks Technical Community College Chancellor Hal Higdon as its chair.
Higdon was appointed to the role during the board's Oct. 26 meeting, health system officials say. He succeeds Great Southern Bank's Rob Fulp, who was named chair in October 2021.
“I can’t thank Rob enough for his support and leadership as CoxHealth’s board chair. His mentorship, support and confidence in me helped immensely as I started in this position,” said Max Buetow, president and CEO of CoxHealth, in a news release. “And as we look to the future, I am extremely grateful that Dr. Hal Higdon will serve as the next chairman of our board of directors. Hal has always been a respected member of our board – he is a strong leader who is willing to push our organization to be the best it possibly can be.”
Fulp now serves as immediate past chair on the board.
At its meeting last month, the CoxHealth board additionally named Pamela Yancey, incoming leader of the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce, and Thomas Douglas of JMark Business Solutions Inc. as new members. Phil Loyd of Loyd's Electric retired from the board after a decade of service.
