Bid goes out for Elevate Branson's tiny homes community

Posted online

Elevate Branson has put out for bid its tiny homes community that's been in the works since 2020.

Contractor bids are due by 3 p.m. April 30 and went out March 29, according to an announcement by the Branson nonprofit.

The construction project would include shared community buildings and infrastructure work at the project site. It's estimated to take four to six months to complete, nonprofit officials say. The tiny homes would be installed at the completed site.

Elevate Branson, a nonprofit that focuses on combating poverty in the Branson area, introduced Elevate Community in summer 2020, according to past reporting. The planned 48-home tiny homes community would be built just north of Elevate Branson's 310 Gretna Road campus in central Branson.

Elevate Community initially was targeted to open starting in 2021, but it has run into delays starting construction due to easement issues, among others, according to past reporting.

The Elevate Community project website additionally indicates delays were brought about by a cultural review and artifact dig of the site requested by the Osage tribe.
