Sapp Design Associates Architects PC is the architect for a campus master plan and renovations and additions to the Monett R-I School District’s elementary school. Engineers are Toth & Associates Inc., engineer; Colvin Jones Davis LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing; and Olsson Associates Inc., civil. The general contractor is R.E. Smith Construction Co. The plan combines four of nine existing buildings, adding 54,000 square feet, including a central commons area. More than 28,000 square feet will be renovated as part of the nearly $7.05 million project, including transforming the gym into a larger library. A safe room and classroom addition at Willard Central Elementary School will be used by the music, arts and athletic programs for a district that had 4,536 students last year, according to Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education figures, but school officials say enrollment is projected to grow.
