Rivertown Smokehouse, which represents the largest restaurant investment in Silver Dollar City’s history, is slated to open next month at the start of the theme park’s 2020 season.
The $4 million restaurant, part of the park’s new Rivertown district, is scheduled to launch March 17. The more than 10,000-square-foot eatery has 450 seats and will serve barbecue menu items, according to a news release.
The $27 million Rivertown district is anchored by Mystic River Falls, a $23 million ride announced last year to replace Lost River of the Ozarks. The latter attraction was demolished in December 2018 after operating for 34 years, according to past reporting.
Rivertown Smokehouse is located adjacent to Mystic River Falls, which is scheduled to open in early summer, according to the release.
Mystic River Falls’ features include a nearly half-mile river ride; 200,000 gallons per minute of maximum water capacity; eight-person rafts; and a 4.5-story drop.
Silver Dollar City ended 2019 with record attendance of 2.22 million people, beating the previous record of 2.18 million guests set in 2018. The theme park also ended the decade with $100 million worth of investments into its operations.
