“We’re proud of our heritage and we’re excited about our future,” said Gwen Peters, Director of Human Resources at Mid-Missouri Bank.
Early into the bank’s 150th year serving the businesses and families of the Ozarks, MidMo is keeping its daily focus on what it’s always been – assisting bank customers in achieving their own financial success. Employees at Mid-Missouri Bank, across all 13 locations in 10 southwest Missouri communities, enjoy the security of working for a longstanding, trusted company that has always been focused on southwest Missouri and just southwest Missouri.
Assisting through the Pandemic
Mid-Missouri Bank split into two teams at each location during the pandemic lockdown and alternated working days in bank locations between those two teams. This served to keep group sizes small, in accordance with state pandemic guidelines, while also allowing many of MidMoBank’s working parents to juggle the childcare challenges of the pandemic more effectively. Bank customers who’d scheduled in-person appointments were still able to be assisted in-person without significant delays.
The Tools to Succeed
Mid-Missouri Bank’s internal continuing education program, known as L.E.A.D. certification, is tailored to the financial services industry and offers MidMoBank personal bankers and tellers a road map to success.
“Here are the keys to your potential at the bank,” said Kim McNealy, director of retail training. “We hope you’ll go far.”
The bank means it, too. L.E.A.D. is an acronym for Leadership, Education, Autonomy and Development. The rate of each individual’s progress is up to that individual. The learning is on-the-clock and available as each team member makes time to complete each certification and increase their skill set.
