Walmart entered an agreement to purchase a minority stake in Sustainable Beef LLC.
The investment in the North Platte, Nebraska, cattle operation "is part of a broader strategic partnership to source top-quality Angus beef from Sustainable Beef LLC’s new beef processing facility," Walmart officials said.
The processing plant is slated to open by late 2024, creating around 800 jobs.
