The Clayton School District penned a deal to buy the Caleres company headquarters.
The district has undisclosed plans for the 9-acre site that officials are calling the Empowerment Campus Project.
Caleres, a footwear company, plans to find "a modern and flexible workspace" for its offices, CEO Jay Schmidt said.
