Springfield jewelry company Onie and Sky has changed hands.
Emily Laurie announced in a public Facebook post this week the sale of the business to Tyler and Kala Headley of Lala Links Jewelry. The terms of the deal were not disclosed in the post.
"Starting a business was always a vision of mine, but selling a business is a dream come true," Laurie wrote in the post. "Recently, the business started to outgrow me as the sole owner, and I had to make some decisions quickly.
"God has truly opened the doors as Tyler and Kala saw my company as an opportunity to expand their business portfolio in the already successful jewelry business they own called Lala Links Jewelry."
A Lala Links spokesperson on Facebook Messenger said Onie and Sky would remain a separate entity along with Lala Links Jewelry.
Founded in 2020, Onie and Sky sold 6,000 units during its first year, according to past reporting. The company is known for custom bracelets using gold-filled and heishi beads.
Lala Links Jewelry, which got its start in 2021, makes permanent jewelry without clasps.
"It is the perfect way to symbolize a friendship, relationship or goal," Lala Links' Facebook page says of its permanent bracelets.
In Laurie's Facebook post, she said she’s now focused on expanding her first business, Laurie Marketing LLC, and spending more time with family.
Thai Garden LLC launched; Norman, Oklahoma-based Traffic Engineering Consultants Inc. opened a Springfield office; and mobile app Ozarks Connect got its start.
