Prime donates $220K to nonprofits

Prime Inc. has donated $220,000 worth of funds that had been earmarked for company events this year.

Seven nonprofits received donations, according to a news release, the largest going to an anti-human trafficking organization out of Colorado. The dinner-party events and award ceremonies for Prime employees were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Prime gifted $100,000 to Englewood, Colorado-based Truckers Against Trafficking, which trains truck drivers on recognizing and reporting human trafficking.

The company also issued donations of $20,000 apiece to Eden Village, Good Dads, Harmony House, iPourLife, The Warrior’s Journey and Wounded Warrior Project, according to the release.

“The events that we host are not cheap and the savings from not being able to provide these events to our associates are significant," said Robert Low, founder and CEO of Prime, in the release. "It only made sense to evaluate the needs of the charities that we’ve worked with throughout the years and help on the behalf of our entire company."

Earlier this year, Prime donated $700,000 toward the construction of CoxHealth's COVID-19 ward.
