Ozarks Technical Community College appointed two internal employees to lead its campuses in Nixa and Hollister.
At the Richwood Valley campus in Nixa, Cliff Davis was chosen to succeed Jeff Jochems, who accepted an early retirement incentive as one of OTC's longest-serving employees. Davis, currently president of the Table Rock campus, will be replaced in Hollister by Robert Griffith, according to a news release. The leadership changes become effective July 1.
“The OTC community will miss Dr. Jochems’ steadfast and loyal leadership, and we wish him well in retirement,” OTC Chancellor Hal Higdon said in the release. “Dr. Davis and Dr. Griffith also boast rich tenures at OTC; their efforts have been rooted in community service and student success. I look forward to seeing what they will accomplish in their new roles.”
Davis previously served for 10 years as OTC's vice chancellor for advancement, student affairs and strategic planningfor the system and executive director of the OTC Foundation. In 2014, those roles were eliminated with the duties falling to Higdon, according to Springfield Business Journal archives. Davis since has served as the Table Rock campus president.
A 13-year employee of OTC, Griffith currently is Table Rock's dean of academic and student affairs. He'll absorb those duties as he moves into the president role, according to the release.
“I learned a great deal from the years I spent working directly for both Dr. Jochems and Dr. Davis,” Griffith said in the release. “I’m honored and very excited to begin serving my hometown and the Table Rock student body in this new capacity.”
Jochems, who also served as interim leader of the OTC Table Rock campus between July 2013 and November 2014 while continuing to lead the Nixa campus, took an early retirement offer from the school that's part of cost-cutting measures unveiled amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Moseley’s Discount Office Products was purchased; Side Chick opened in Branson; and the Springfield franchise store of NoBaked Cookie Dough changed ownership.
