A recent day of trading brought O'Reilly Automotive Inc.'s (Nasdaq: ORLY) stock to the $1,000 mark for the first time in company history.
The Springfield-based auto parts retailer's shares went as high as $1,005.96 on Nov. 14, according to online stock records.
The stock has been on a steady climb in recent years.
The new high-water mark hit this month follows ORLY crossing the $900 threshold for the first time on April 17, according to past reporting. Before that, the stock climbed from $700 to $800 in less than a year.
O'Reilly Automotive last month reported third-quarter net income of $649.8 million, compared with $585.4 million a year earlier.
The 52-week low for ORLY stock is $767.27 per share.
