Ozark Valley Glamping
Launched in 2022, Ozark Valley Glamping LLC had an ownership change on Nov. 15. Brent and Kathi Sweet bought the business, which creates luxury outdoor and indoor glamping experiences, from original owners Darrell and Kelli Redus. Brent Sweet declined to disclose the purchase price, noting it operates as a home-based venture in which the company delivers, installs and removes fully styled, mobile glamping setups outside or inside the homes of customers. Ozark Valley Glamping offers a variety of themed experiences designed for birthdays, sleepovers, date nights, family gatherings and special celebrations. He said each experience can be customized with themes, decor upgrades and add-ons, allowing families and couples to create personalized events. Packages begin at $125. Sweet said he offers support for his wife, Kathi, who runs the business while working full time as a legal assistant at Lowther Johnson Attorneys at Law LLC. Ozark Valley Glamping typically serves areas within an hour’s drive of Springfield, according to its website.

D1 Training
Fitness franchise D1 Training, a performance-based strength and conditioning concept, held a grand opening for its first Springfield location on March 14 at 313 E. Battlefield Road, Ste. C, said local franchisee Kate Martinez. The group fitness facility occupies around 5,700 square feet in the Battlefield Plaza shopping center, said Martinez, who co-owns the Springfield franchise, along with her husband, Jason, and their friend, Anthony Morgan. Outside of its standard group workouts, D1 Training offers group, semi-private and one-on-one training with coaches. Martinez said the franchisees signed a 10-year lease for undisclosed terms with Jared Commercial & Management LLC. The company lists a total estimated initial investment ranging from $480,557 to $933,432, which includes a $59,500 franchise fee. While Martinez declined to disclose startup costs, she said they are on the lower end of that range. Memberships for unlimited classes are $45 per week, she said, adding punch cards for individual sessions also are sold.
