She started the business out of her garage in 2011 and leases the 1,700-square-foot store for an undisclosed amount. Hunt, who declined to disclose startup costs, said prices start at $15 for plants, and a dozen roses and tulip arrangements are around $65. The florist uses FTD and Teleflora for e-commerce. Hunt said she employs contract help during busy seasons. Hours: 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.–2 p.m. Saturday. Phone: (417) 824-0577. He declined to disclose the cost to get the chicken-sandwich restaurant up and running. Chick-Fil-A currently employs over 100. According to its website, Chick-Fil-A now operates four stores in southwest Missouri, including one on Missouri State University’s campus. Hours: 6:30 a.m.–10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. With a $50,000 startup investment, Gamel is on her second restaurant concept, having owned and operated Thai House of Springfield Inc. 2008-09 on South Campbell Avenue. With three employees, Rama Thai serves stir fry, fried chicken with peanut sauce, noodles, seafood, soups and salads. Menu items start at $5, and a daily lunch special is $7.
