Jessica Fadler-Blair and Kim Woodworth opened Dal Vero Early Childhood Academy LLC on Aug. 28 inside Asbury United Methodist Church at 1500 S. Campbell Ave. The duo leases two classroom spaces to teach 4- and 5-year-olds. The curriculum aims at preparing children for kindergarten. Enrollment is currently nine children with a capacity of 20. Both Fadler-Blair and Woodworth hold child development degrees from Missouri State University, and Fadler-Blair holds a state teaching certification. Hours: 9 a.m.–1 p.m. Monday through Friday. McAlister’s Deli
Richard and Trey Vance opened their fourth McAlister’s Deli in Springfield on Sept. 18. The new restaurant, 1711 W. Battlefield Road, occupies a former Movie Gallery video store. McAlister’s Deli is a casual dining restaurant that offers sandwiches, salads, soups and iced tea. Jonathan Cook is general manager. Brenda Obeidat, Peggy Kubicek and Dee Telting opened Professional Advantage Leaders on Sept. 29. The trio offers business coaching and networking services. Professional Advantage Leaders is a subsidiary of Obeidat’s Ivy League Corporate Services; the businesses share space at 1949 E. Sunshine St., Ste. 220.
