New Branson nonprofit Ozark Mountain Country Cares named its first executive director.
The appointment of Tim Huddleston, who started Feb. 1, was announced in a March 11 news release.
“Tim Huddleston has experience with leading nonprofits and a proven track record with fundraising, not to mention a passion for the Ozarks," said board member Sue Head, in the release. "His love for people, especially those in need, made him the ideal candidate.”
Huddleston brings experience as president and CEO of Kids Across America and Windermere Conference and Retreat Center, as well as dean of development for College of the Ozarks.
OMC Cares collects data and helps foster collaboration among area nonprofits to serve individuals in need with services such as affordable housing and life skills, according to the release. Ozark Mountain Country Cares was registered with the Missouri secretary of state in February.
Reached via email, Head declined to disclose Huddleston’s salary and said she did not have immediate access to the nonprofit’s operating budget.
Springfield event venue Belamour LLC gained new ownership; The Wok on West Bypass opened; and Hawk Barber & Shop closed on a business purchase that expanded its footprint to Ozark.
