Missouri Hemp Trade Association sues over Parson's ban

The Missouri Hemp Trade Association has filed suit against the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services over Gov. Mike Parson's ban on foods containing psychoactive ingredients made from industrial hemp.

The suit alleges the DHSS is overstepping its bounds with the rule. The suit also claims that Missouri residents and the General Assembly chose not to regulate hemp products.

Parson announced the executive order in early August.
