The Missouri Association of Manufacturers has tapped a former Springfield Cardinals executive to fill the role vacated by its retiring CEO.

Kim Inman, the former vice president of sales and marketing for the Double-A team, was selected to fill the position at MAM, effective immediately. MAM's first and only CEO, Rita Needham, is slated to retire at the end of the year after 14 years with the organization, according to a Nov. 19 news release.

"Her extensive leadership experience in business development, sales and marketing will enable MAM to continue its mission to promote, preserve and advance manufacturing throughout the state," Needham said of Inman in the release.

Inman left the Cardinals in December 2012, according to her LinkedIn page, after working with the team since 2009.

Inman has 17 years of experience in business development, sales and marketing, as well as community roles including founding chairwoman and executive baron of the American Cancer Society Cattle Baron's Ball and chairwoman of the March of Dimes charity event, according to the release.

Inman is scheduled to fully take the helm of MAM in January.

"MAM will continue to listen to its members and to represent the economic, political, educational and social interests of manufacturers in Missouri, and as a unified group, to promote the betterment of the economy, the environment and the manufacturing industry in Missouri," Inman said in the release.[[In-content Ad]]
