Immediate Mental Health Care Critical to Employee Wellness, Bottomline

Posted online

Whether or not a company invests in the mental health care of its employees can directly affect the overall health of that company. In addition to the generally well-known symptoms of anxiety and depression, mental health issues can cause low energy, lack of appetite, sleep disorders, loss of motivation and focus and many other issues.

Dr. Bains, psychiatrist with BiBi Health said when individuals are coping with untreated mental health crises, it will inevitably affect their work. “A lot of companies don’t think about focusing on the mental health of their employees, but when an employee is suffering with depression or anxiety, they may begin to call in sick, they may feel burned out. Companies that provide and encourage access to mental health care have happier, more productive employees.” Dr. Bains said this often translates into a better bottom line for the company.

With an uptick in people seeking mental health care, it’s often hard to find a practice that is scheduling immediate appointments. Amber Peters, psychiatric nurse practitioner with BiBi Health said clients can schedule immediately when they call BiBi Health. “Many clinics are on months long waiting lists. We provide immediate access when a client calls and offer all services under one roof, which makes us different from most clinics.” BiBi health believes in continuity of care so clients are seen by the same provider each visit.

BiBi Health Psychiatric and Addiction Health Clinic treats people of all ages for psychiatric, behavioral and mental health disorders, and is currently the preferred provider for professionals in different fields, including veterans, and corporate employees of the manufacturing, construction, medical, financial, insurance, IT and telecom sectors.
