North St. Louis is slated to get a new micro-hospital this month.
Archview ER & Hospital is taking over the former Homer G. Phillips Memorial Hospital in the Carr Square neighborhood.
The micro-hospital, referring to a facility that fills the gap between urgent care clinics and major hospitals, is expected to open in mid-December.

The new Bingham Elementary School, along with plans to renovate and increase the size of Bissett Elementary, wasn’t part of the original list of projects encompassed by Proposition S, a $220 million bond issue by Springfield Public Schools approved by city voters in April 2023.
