Greene County's wages grew more quickly than most others in the country during the first quarter, according to the latest data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Average weekly wages in Greene County were up 6.8% to $1,117 during the quarter, according to a news release.
By percent change, Greene County ranked No. 16 among the 369 largest counties nationwide.
Here are Missouri's largest counties, in order of first-quarter percent increase and wage growth rank nationally:
• Greene, $1,117, up 6.8%, No. 16
• Boone, $1,154, up 5.1%, No. 55
• Clay, $1,255, up 4.2%, No. 139
• St. Charles, $1,251, up 3.6%, No. 200
• Jackson, $1,391, up 3.3%, No. 222
• St. Louis City (which operates as its own county), $1,622, up 2.7%, No. 277
• St. Louis, $1,557, up 2.4%, No. 300
Among the largest U.S. counties, 357 had year-over-year increases in average weekly wages during the first quarter, according to the release.
Among bond projects that include all school buildings in the Willard Public School District, two are linked with a common design team and timeline: a 1,100-square-foot addition to North Elementary and renovations of 5,000 square feet of space at both North Elementary and Willard Middle School.
