Luby’s, the parent company of Fuddruckers, is planning to liquidate its assets.
The company, which also operates a namesake chain of cafeteria-style eateries, expects to generate up to $128 million for shareholders. It then would be dissolved.
The fate of Fuddruckers franchises is unclear. The Springfield Fuddruckers restaurant yesterday posted on Facebook: "As a locally owned franchisee, we are open to serve our community."
